If you were hoping, like me, that an Outkast album would drop this year…sorry, that’s not the case. In an interview with Revolt TV, Big Boi confirmed that although the duo will be on the road this year to commemorate the group’s 20-year anniversary, there are no plans for an album. Big Boi told Revolt TV:

“We’re just doing the tour only, just for the fans. That’s all it is, just the tour. It’s just the Outkast 20th year anniversary, just a way for us to celebrate with our fans, but there’s no album in the works, no.”

The good news is there’s lots of Outkast to go around in 2014. In addition to Coachella, they’ll be headlining Drake’s OVO Fest and will play more than 40 shows and major music festivals across the country. Big Boi and Andre also plan to drop their respective mixtapes. #chooseaside
