It’s no secret that Pharrell is pretty HAPPY these days; and with good reason. For starters, he’s having a banner year in music with a fresh Grammy win, brand spankin’ new album on the shelves  and even got to bust a move with Lupita Nyong’o and Meryl Streep at the Oscars (umm, EPIC). Now, the musical genius is the new face of Japan-based retail chain Uniqlo’s new streetwear line – Uniqlo UT.

Partly responsible for the deal is Pharrell’s friend and creative director  Nigo - who is widely known for launching Japanese streetwear label BAPE. Uniqlo UT’s signature item will be “The New Model T” T-shirt (shown in gallery). The T-shirt, which goes on sale this Thursday at 9am, will only dish out to the first 240 lucky buyers to get their hands on them first. The collection is also said to be made from more durable cotton than Uniqlo’s regular shirts, and will feature some pretty dope graphics throughout the season.

Uniqlo has been mum on details of what the full collection will look like, but we do know it includes T-shirts, caps and will  launch somewhere around mid-April. The launch will also be accompanied by a TV commercial soundtracked by a song from Pharrell’s new album G I R L.
