Compliance stance: billing software, not compliance advice: A billing tool. Nothing more.

SuiteBook tracks sessions, applies the arrangements you have made and issues GST tax invoices. It does not make your suite payroll-tax compliant, it holds no clinical records and it does no Medicare claiming.

Payroll tax is not something software can settle

Whether payments under an arrangement between a medical centre and a practitioner are treated as wages for payroll tax depends on the facts of that arrangement. In Victoria, the State Revenue Office’s public ruling PTA-041 (Relevant contracts – medical centres) sets out how the SRO approaches this. It looks at the substance of what is agreed and done, not what the agreement is called.

SuiteBook does not assess your arrangements, does not tell you whether an exemption applies, and does not make your suite compliant. Using SuiteBook is not a substitute for advice.

We recommend every operator gets their own legal, tax and accounting advice about how their arrangements are structured.

For a neutral summary of the Victorian, NSW and Queensland rulings, see our payroll-tax guide.

What SuiteBook does

  • Records the arrangements you have already made, with start and end dates, rooms, fees and inclusions.
  • Labels each arrangement’s document type: room-hire / facilities agreement or service-fee arrangement.
  • Keeps an audit log of new arrangements, end dates and month-end runs.
  • Issues GST tax invoices laid out around the ATO’s tax invoice requirements.
  • Exports invoice data for your accountant, bookkeeper or tax agent.

What SuiteBook does not do

  • Decide whether an arrangement is a tenancy, a licence, contracting or employment.
  • Make any payroll-tax, GST or employment-status determination.
  • Store patient clinical records. There are none, by design.
  • Claim Medicare or health-fund benefits, or handle patient billing.
  • Give legal, tax or financial advice. Nothing on this site or in the product is advice.

GST tax invoices

SuiteBook’s invoices show that they are tax invoices, your identity and ABN, the issue date, a description of each item with quantity and price, the GST amount, and the specialist’s billing entity and ABN. You and your accountant remain responsible for your GST obligations.

Your data

SuiteBook holds business records: rooms, specialists, arrangements, sessions, reported gross billings, shared costs and invoices. Percentage fees use totals that specialists report to you, so no patient detail is needed.

The current demo stores everything in your own browser with fictional data. Production hosting is still being set up, and where data will be hosted will be confirmed before launch. See the FAQ.
